OMG WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!

It's official! We bought a house.
Sure, its not the biggest or most beautiful house in the world, but it's ours!
(And it's super brown)

Just for fun, I ran a photo through one of those paint-your-house-online-thingies.
This is what it would look like with some white paint...Kind of...
From now on there will be a lot of renovation stuff on this blog. A L.O.T!

DREAM PROJECT: CAMPERS AND CARAVANS

One of my secret dream projects is to decorate a camper or caravan.
It would be so much fun to turn this boring and uninspiring mobile vacation home into something chic.

Just look at these photos for instance!

MY WORK: A VILLA IN GÖTEBORG

If you were a Pouf! Magazine reader, chances are you've seen this already.
But, I still want to share it with you since I really love this house and the lovely people who live in it.

It's always rewarding when you've finished a job and the clients are happy with what you've done for them.
Being invited into a person's home to help them create a beautiful place to live is so special and I always feel very privileged to work with my clients.

All photos are by Marko Vesterinen
This family is all about brave pattern combinations and fun.

Please comment and let me know what you think.

BEFORE AND AFTER: OUR APARTMENT

We've lived in our apartment for three years now,
but this is the first time I share the before and after pics.

The stuff in the before photos is not ours, so if the previous tenant is reading this, I'd like to apologize for putting photos of your stuff on the interwebz.
It just had to be done. Don't hate me.

YOKO IN GÖTEBORG

Hi guys!
Sorry for my lack of posts.
I promise I'll get better.

Last week, my dear friend Yoko from Tokyo came all the way to little Sweden for a visit.
Marko Vesterinen documented our mini vaycay and I wanted to share his lovely pics.
Sightseeing boat "Paddan"

Loads of coffee breaks

Cocktails at Familjen

Yoko wanted to learn how to make some Swedish dishes. We ended up having an improvised cooking class in our kitchen.
What we made:
Starter - Toast with lumpfish roe
Main - Fish soup
Dessert - Home made ice cream with cloudberries

Swedish fish soup recipe in japanese.

The starter

MY MOTHERS SHOP

Did you know that my mother has an interior design shop
Well, she does and it's lovely!
I just adore her logo btw!
It even has her two chihuahuas in it.

Recently, she opened an online shop as well.
I thought I'd share a few of my favorite things from the online shop with you.

For long baths!
I have this one and I can't live without it :)

Polka dots for the kitchen.

Champagne coupes.
Salut!

Gorgeous English tea.

Because BiB is so convenient, but, so unchic.

TARAKO!

Hi!
We're back in Japan after a visit to Sweden.

Today, Per and I are going to a "family restaurant" chain called Saizeriya to eat Tarako Spaghetti.

Tarako is salted cod or alaska pollock roe.
Tarako spaghetti is spagetthi with a creamy sauce made from tarako, cream and topped with nori ① .
I've only had it once before and I LOVED IT!

When surfing the web ②, I found these commercials for instant Tarako sauce.
They made me love Tarako even more!

① Roasted seaweed
② As the cool kids call it

UPDATE!
I had two bites of the Saizeriya Tarako spaghetti.
I did not enjoy it. The one I had before was way better.
